i am used adminmd5 for snmpv3 or adminsha not work ( |partial access" anyway

EN4093R staked

partial access on slave switch ( work ONLY SSH ) HTTPS or SNMP not work
on master all work fine

how need configure stacked switch in FSM? cuz inventory all time failed on RSAP ( SNMP )

Now only one trouble have now

1. EN4093R - Stacked, Slave switch have partial access, i think this is normal - throught slave switch must not change configuration for SWITCH only view

but when i started inventory IO modules, all time Job have error about RSAP ( SNMP access )

All other trouble disappeared, FC5022 work correcly now and other subsystems

question only about EN4093R ( Stacked ) stayed

Liks,

I would verify this with someone from IBM but I believe the Slave switch would no longer control some of the management layer protocols now that it is a subordinate to the Master switch. For example, you should not have GUI access to that Slave switch as everything should now be shown under the master switch. However, I'm not sure what happens in a stacked configuration when the Master dies? Does the Slave take over and assume all management roles like SNMP? It would be nice to have the ability to test this.

thoughts?

if master dies, slave become Master and stay "Master"
if Master recovery after fail he become Slave switch and stay in this state

if Restart Master or both switch after reocvery "failed switch"

Slave switch ( failed Master ) become Master and old Slave switch returns role "Backup"

it's work for switch

now i go testing how it's work in FSM =)

Solution

Prerequisite:
1. You have stacked switch
2. You have FSM
3. You have warrning "partial access" for one or few switch, if you have at least 2 switch in stack
4. MB this solution can help for other troubles cuz this is critical error

Go to resolve trouble

Case:
EN4093R
EN4093R
and this switchs in stacked mode

1. Step

Verifying switch

login via ssh on both switch

type this command on all switch

IBMBaldeNetwork#show stack switch
IBMBaldeNetwork-2#show stack switch

in bottom find line

Switch 1
Local switch:
    Switch Mode (cfg) - Master

Switch 2
Local switch:
    Switch Mode (cfg) - Master

Yes, this point where i have trouble
i have stacked switch but BOTH switch have ROLE MASTER

FSM verify this line and think BOTH switch can manage via all RSAP

but in stacked mode 1 switch can change configuration /cfg/ menu or conf t in iscli
2 switch only /information or #show in iscli  have

2. Step

how to resolve ?
go to switch where you !can't! conf t use
IBMBaldeNetwork-2#show stack switch
stack name: Liks
Local switch is the backup.

Local switch:
   csnum             -  2 <- this number remebmer

go to switch where you !can! use conf t

IBMBaldeNetwork#conf t
IBMBaldeNetwork(config)#stack backup 2

Now reload

after reload complete ->

verify Roles

IBMBaldeNetwork#sh stack switch
stack name: Liks
Local switch is the master.

Local switch:
   Switch Mode (cfg) - Master

IBMBaldeNetwork-2#show stack switch
stack name: Liks
Local switch is the backup.

Local switch:
Switch Mode (cfg) - Member (backup)

yes, Eng not my native) but mb this help anybody

Now in FSM you see this

all work correctly
