Hi Gatta,

Are you familiar with using TFTP or SFTP? You can download an easy to use client here from Solarwinds. http://download.cnet.com/SolarWinds-TFTP-Server/3000-18506_4-10974238.html (http://download.cnet.com/SolarWinds-TFTP-Server/3000-18506_4-10974238.html)

From the command line you have the same options as in the GUI so there's no other way to get the key to the switch. Make sure you have your license key file that you received from IBM placed in the root directory that you configure for your TFTP server. From there you just enter the information requested and then 'Install Key'.

Right-click on the TFTP server and try to run in compatibility mode for Windows XP.

Do you see anything in the log window of the TFTP server when you try to connect? It should say establishing session with <your switch IP> and following messages about pulling down a file.

One thing to note. Make sure your key file is in the root of the TFTP directory and when you enter the filename into the switch GUI, make sure the filename includes the file extension and as long as the file is in your TFTP servers root directory you should only need to use the filename.

Or you drag it onto the USB keys top level folder, and when youve booted off that USB key run Terminal and run NBI from the command line.
