FSM Fabric Manager Application Won't Start

Hi all,

I noticed today that my Fabric Manager Application within the FSM won't start. I've rebooted the FSM and it still won't start. I will be opening a ticket with IBM and will update this topic as I have them.

Received this from support. There is an issue with Fabric Manager when upgrading to 1.3 code

SYMPTOM:                                                       
                                                               
When updating IBM Fabric Manager v3.1 to v4.0 or Flex System   
Manager v3.1 to v4.0, IBM Fabric Manager will not start. The   
affected version 4.0.0083 and is fixed with version 4.0.0086.   
                                                               
Note: There is no indication or error message that IBM Fabric   
      Manager will not start. In order to determine if IBM     
      Fabric Manager (IFM) has not started, users need to       
      connect to the IFM server with a web browser or manually 
      check the process.                                       
                                                               
For FSM IFM service, users can confirm current IFM status from 
FSM GUI menu.                                                   
                                                               
[home] => [application] tab, and check 'IBM Fabric Manager'     
status. If status is 'stopped' and not started though click     
'start' link, then fsmfix_com.ibm.ofm.services_4.0.0086 needs   
to be applied to resolve the issue.                             
                                                               
PROBLEM ISOLATION AIDS:                                         
                                                               
- The system may be any of the following IBM servers:           
                                                               
     Flex System Manager Node, Type 7955, any model             
     Flex System Manager Node, Type 8731, any model             
     Flex System Manager Node, Type 8734, any model             
                                                               
- This tip is not option specific.                             
                                                               
- The system is configured with at least one of the following: 
                                                               
     IBM Fabric Manager (IFM) - 00D7550 (5641-F13), any version
     IBM Fabric Manager (IFM) - 00D7551 (5641-F14), any version
                                                               
Notice: This does not imply that the network operating system   
will work under all combinations of hardware and software.

For IBM Fabric Manager: Users will need to go to the Passport   
Advantage web site and download IBM Fabric Manager v4.0         
Multiplatform English (CIR9GEN).

For Flex System Manager (FSM): Users that have IBM Fabric       
Manager pre-installed will need to go to IBM FixCentral and     
download fsmfix_com.ibm.ofm.services_4.0.0086.                 
                                                               
The file is available by selecting the appropriate Product     
Group, type of System, Product name, Product machine type, and 
Operating system on IBM Support's Fix Central web page, at the

DETAILS:                                                       
                                                               
An issue was discovered that during an installation upgrade     
from v3.1 to v4.0, certain libraries were not properly copied   
over which causes IBM Fabric Manager to not start.

Once you download the package and SCP it to your FSM at /home/USERID run the following command to install the update from the FSM command line.
