Updating FSM from 1.3.1 to 1.3.2 via Web GUI stuck

Hi,

I'm trying to update from 1.3.1 to 1.3.2 via the web gui and for a couple days is stuck on the following:

August 12, 2014 8:30:30 AM GMT-04:00-Level:150-MEID:4197--MSG: ATKUPD770I Still processing update "NA_CSDA_Native_Update_Exploiter_2_6.3.5" and system "IBM 8731AC1 06ACXG0 001A73EE-BF0C-41A5-A5C7-7755D9421F90".

Can I reboot the FSM to cancel the update process, would this cause any issues? I want to perform the update via the CLI instead.

flxadmintt,

Welcome to MyPureSupport!

For this issue you can cancel the update and reboot. If it does not come back up properly then you will need to restore from the recovery partition. However, first try to reboot and see if it comes back up.

When it comes up run the following command to clear out all of the updates that are stored in the FSMs update repositiory.

SSH into the FSM and run the following command.
smcli cleanupd -mva

Once all of the updates are cleared out then run inventory on the FSM.

smcli collectinv -p "All Inventory" -i 10.3.0.1,10.3.0.2 -t OperatingSystem

Then import your updates (make sure they are already copied to the /home/USERID directory using SCP)

mcli importupd -v /home/USERID/FSMApplianceUpdate-1-3-2-ImportFirst.zip
          smcli importupd -v /home/USERID/FSMApplianceUpdate-1-3-2-ImportSecond.zip
          smcli importupd -v /home/USERID/FSMApplianceUpdate-1-3-2-ImportThird.zip

Lastly run your update command.

smcli installneeded -v -F -I

My best success when upgrading FSMs has always been to reboot FIRST then clear out ALL updates before starting the update command.
